Condes de Caria Palace was our first rehabilitation project with Lx Capital, located within the historic Quinta das Laranjeiras estate in Lisbon. The development reinterprets two 18th-century buildings, balancing heritage preservation with contemporary comfort.

(Our Approach)
Apartments are distributed across the East and West Blocks, with lower floors opening onto private gardens and upper levels offering views over Humberto Delgado Square and Monsanto Park. Shared gardens and a swimming pool complete the scenery, preserving the estate's original character while meeting present-day living standards.
(The Craft)
This project also represented a turning point in our creative process. We began exploring scanning techniques to record architectural details from the existing structure, achieving greater precision in our visual work. By integrating these scans into the CGI, we could express the dialogue between preservation and transformation that defines Condes de Caria Palace.
(Final thoughts)
Scanning the original details changed how we approach heritage, and we have used it on every rehabilitation since.
