(The Project)
Casa na Areia sits on a gently sloping site near Guincho, in Cascais, the sea to the west and the Serra de Sintra to the north. Subvert Studio conceived it as a built landscape, set back from the road, enclosed by walls that seem to belong to the terrain, held between intimacy and open ground.

For a private residence of this character, our imagery focused on atmosphere over spectacle. Five carefully composed views trace how the house negotiates its exposed setting: the weight of the walls, the framed horizon, the changing coastal light. The architecture's central idea, protection and openness held in balance, reads clearly in every frame.
(The Craft)
The Atlantic light of Guincho became the project's true material. We calibrated each image around its shifting qualities, from the hard clarity of midday to the softened tones of late afternoon, so that the house appears not as an object on a site but as part of the landscape it was drawn from.
