(The Project)
Pine House is a private residence by CCG Arquitectos in the pine woods of Aroeira, on the coast south of Lisbon. The setting counts for more than the street here, across low-density plots under maritime pines, where every house settles the same question of how much to clear and how much to keep.

Our imagery was built around that question. Instead of presenting the house as an object placed on a site, we composed each view through the trees, with trunks framing the architecture, the horizontal calm of the building set against the vertical rhythm of the pines, and the filtered light that gives this stretch of coast its quality.
(The Craft)
Pine forest is unforgiving to render. Light arrives broken, shadows are never clean, and the needle litter underfoot reads as false the moment it is approximated. We modelled and lit the setting with the same attention given to the architecture, because here the two are inseparable.
(Final thoughts)
Working with an architect on a single house is closer and quieter than a development, and it gets measured in details.
